The yearbook creates a lasting document that memorializes the entire school and school year. We are looking for creative, hardworking students to join our yearbook staff next year.

There are many opportunities for students to seek involvement in high school. Of these, a very special opportunity exists within the yearbook staff. You will be involved within our school in a way that is different than any other experience on campus. We have a very close staff, and utilize each other’s strengths to create the ultimate yearbook; a yearbook that celebrates and documents Sheldon High School. The yearbook class is an elective that will be challenging, stressful, exciting, rewarding, and amazing all at the same time. There is a lot of work to do, and a high level of commitment will be expected.

It is highly recommended that any student interested in gaining amazing friendships, photography, graphic design, journalism, art, and communications skills take advantage of what being on the Sheldon High School yearbook staff offers.

If you are interested in accepting this offer and becoming a part of an amazing program, please return this application to Mr. Shupe in F005, or in Mr. Shupe’s faculty box by Tuesday, May 2nd. Completion of this application does not guarantee a spot. There will be one lunch meeting, that we will notify you about, and your application will reviewed and a letter will be sent notifying you of your status.

NO extensive singing experience is required. Musicality, intelligence, appreciation for excellence and a decent musical ear are what we are looking for.

The Sheldon Vocal Ensemble is one of the most respected choirs in California. They are a gold rated, triple superior group, singing a large variety of collegiate level music. Students will learn to sing in a positive and highly motivational musical environment.

The audition process will be just Mr. Hebert ("A-Bear") you, without others in the room. We will check your vocal range, sing Happy Birthday to “dear Sheldon”, and a check on your ability to remember and sing five note musical phrases played on the piano.

Don’t hesitate to sign up! It's fun and unforgettable!

News 10 Teacher of the Month

The Elk Grove Unified School District has launched a new secure EGUSD Portal website that will allow parents and guardians the option to receive their student’s official academic progress reports and report cards electronically.  Parents and guardians will also be able to securely update and change opt-out elections, such as directory information, posting of student photos, and movies and videos.  Additional features and reports are planned for the portal in the near future that will provide parents and guardians with the opportunity to view other academic information about their student rather than receive printed reports through the U.S. mail.
