The ARTSwork Academy is designed for students who want the opportunity to explore in depth their interest in visual arts, dance, music, theater or an integration of the visual and performing arts. This Academy will provide students with a broad based knowledge for many careers: graphic design, publicity, media (TV, radio, movies), music, dancing, teaching and drama (producing, directing, script writing). Academy Students are required to earn a minimum or 70 credits in the visual and performing arts and maintain a 2.5 GPA.

Modern Jazz Dance 1-3
Dance Composition and Performance 1-4
Band (Concert, Marching, Symphonic and Jazz)
Choir (Concert, Treble and Vocal Ensemble)
Music Theory (Including Advanced Placement)
Theatre 1-3 ( Including Advanced, Children's Theatre and Play Productions)
Art 1-2 ( Including Commercial Art, Studio Drawing, Advanced Placement Art and ROP Visual Communications)
Animation 1-3 (Including ROP Animation)
Photo 1-4 (Including Advanced Placement Photo)
Ceramics 1-4 (Including 3D Art/Sculpture)
*Many courses require a prerequisite (sometimes with a minimum grade in the previous course) and/or an audition or teacher recommendation. Refer to the EGUSD Course Catalog for specific details. Teachers in each discipline and the academy leaders can answer questions you may have.
